Hi, I’m Sophie, the maker and heart behind Reloved Embroidery.

This project began as my way of holding onto the little moments from my children’s early years. I started with framing their tiny first shoes and baby outfits, so they weren't just sitting in a box. Then came the day my oldest daughter started to write and there was something so special about her first little scribbles. That’s what led me to try turning handwriting into embroidery.

I bought a second-hand embroidery machine and taught myself to digitise and embroider handwriting. I loved the way my daughter’s writing looked once it was embroidered and after sharing it with friends and family, I started getting requests to do the same for them. What started as a hobby has since grown into this small business.

I eventually began combining this with my love for second-hand finds by embroidering clothing. It brings me so much joy seeing a pre-loved cardigan personalised with a unique touch.

I can’t even begin to explain how special it is to call this my job. It’s a privilege to be trusted with the precious memories that mean so much to you. I love being able to take a piece of your story and turn it into a keepsake you can hold onto.
